Home & Family
Messy house. Small girl. Tall girl. The dog. The girl dad. Mama trying to keep all of it somewhat under control.
This is where I share the home, cleaning, and family products we actually buy, use, test, love, and occasionally regret bringing into the house.
This is actually where Chaos Approved started.
The shower needed to be cleaned and I really did not want to clean it. I needed something that would make the job easier, so I bought the spin brush on a stick.
That one purchase turned into trying more products around the house and realizing I might as well share whether this stuff actually works.
Instead of just telling you something looks amazing online, I would rather show you what happens when it enters a real house with kids, pets, messes, projects, and everyday chaos.
Does it actually make home life easier?
I care about what happens after the package gets here—not just how amazing the Amazon listing makes it look.
Does it actually work? Is it easy to use? Does it save me time? Would I spend my own money on it again? And most importantly...
Is it Chaos Approved?

Spin Brush
I LOVE it. Barely use it, but when I do it is GREAT! The only issue is that it will not stay on the wall hanger that came with it. Other than that, no complaints. That reminds me—I need to go clean my shower.
Stanley Steamer
Get it...Stanley...steamer. 😂 Okay, okay—this one I have not gotten to use yet. Too many instructions and not enough time! But I am getting to it, so the raw review is coming.
Before the Spin Brush on a Stick
They worked great. Then I discovered somebody had basically put the spinning brush on a stick and removed the need for me to drag out the drill. The rest is history.
Rainbow Raincoat & Umbrella Set
Adorable, Soft, and Kid-Friendly! My little one absolutely loves this raincoat and umbrella set! She has even worn the coat on days when it wasn’t raining because she thinks it is so cute. The material feels soft and durable—not like cheap plastic. I especially love the safety button on the umbrella because it helps prevent her from pinching her fingers while opening it. That has always been one of my biggest concerns with umbrellas. This set is adorable, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for little hands!
Why do I keep buying this stuff?
Save Me Time
I do not want a twelve-step cleaning routine. If something helps me get a job done faster or makes an annoying household task easier, it has my attention.
Survive the Family
Kids, pets, spills, messes, projects, and everyday life are a much better product test than a perfectly staged photo. If it survives us, that says something.
Be Worth the Money
I am not here to fill your cart with stuff you do not need. If I would not buy it again, I am going to tell you. If I love it, you are probably going to hear about that too.
I may earn money if you buy something.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. This website may also contain affiliate links for Amazon and other retailers. If you purchase something through one of my links, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate link or not, the goal of Chaos Approved is to give you our actual experience with the product—the good, the bad, the useful, and the "why did I buy this?" moments.
A commission does not make a bad product Chaos Approved.
We tried it. Now you get the truth.
No perfectly staged house required. See the products being used in real life and find out what worked, what annoyed us, what surprised us, and whether I would actually spend my money on it again.
